Galleria Henley Offers Quality Brew and Birds-Eye Photography, Too

Galleria Henley has been instrumental in providing local governments with important aerial images, like this photo of Puyallup’s new library during its construction.
Want to see Puyallup from above while nursing an iced latte? Then head over to Galleria Henley‚ the latest business venture from photographer Adam Henley.
As the owner of Northwest R/C Photography‚ Henley has spent the last several years producing low-altitude aerial photographs for a number of clients. His parents‚ Gary and Kathy‚ eventually joined him in the business‚ which has expanded into wedding and special-event photography and videography.
But the difficulty of meeting with clients and being able to show his portfolio led to another development: the gallery. Since it opened in spring of 2007‚ it has been drawing interest to the Henleys’ work while also serving as a cozy gathering space.
“It’s kind of our public face‚ where we have our own art and some guest art on the walls‚” Henley says. “And we decided to open an espresso bar so we wouldn’t have to keep meeting people at other coffee shops to show them our work.”
The Henleys had been maintaining office space in the building‚ and when the downstairs‚ street-front space became available‚ it just made sense to expand in that direction‚ he says.
